Athens Area School District

Sheshequin Ulster Elementary School underwent a major renovation and addition.  The renovation portion of the project encompassed removing and replacing exterior windows, updating interior finishes, and upgrading the mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. An addition houses a storage room for the kitchen and a new generator.  New concrete sidewalks, curbs and depressed curbs were also installed at the entrance of the school for accessibility purposes.

Gladys Burnham Elementary School underwent a major renovation.  Highlights of this project include a total window and roof replacement to boost the building’s efficiency.

The Harriet Child Elementary School project consisted of the removal and replacement of the roofing system, heating system equipment, the power distribution and lighting systems and data and telecommunication system.   Sitework included new bituminous paving and concrete sidewalks.

At the Athens Area High School, Quad3 designed a new running track, artificial field surface for the football / soccer field, new baseball field and the new softball field.  Important factors were site layout, perimeter drainage and management of stormwater as well as design alternates to install grass instead of turf fields.
