67KV Transmission Line
UGI Corporation, Kingston, PA
Approximately four miles of 67,000 volt transmission facilities interconnects UGI’s 230,000 – 67,000 volt Mountain Substation with a remote 67,000 volt line. The line is both wood and steel supporting structures and utilizes horizontal line post (armless) construction. The line traverses a mountainous terrain consisting of steep inclined slopes, deep gorges and a river crossing. At gorge crossings, steel poles were used with spans ranging from 1,000’ to 1,675’. The river crossing span was 1,130’ and steel poles were used on both ends.
