Holy Rosary School & Church Renovations

Damage to the school was greater in area and larger in cost. The Library, Pre-Kindergarten, The Art/Music Room / Small Group Instruction, Cafeteria, School Kitchen, Dish Room, Food Storage Room and support spaces were demolished as a result of the flood waters. Damage to the Church Parrish Hall included the kitchen meeting rooms, two lavatories, the entrance lobby, and support spaces namely storage areas and the mechanical rooms.

The renovation process began with the complete replacement of the electrical service and the replacement of the boiler burner and digital controls on the heating plant. The HVAC equipment was rebuilt and parts replaced as necessary to provide electricity, heat and ventilation for both areas of the project.

New kitchen equipment replaced the equipment damaged by the flood, and the stainless steel kitchen equipment was sanitized, polished and reinstalled. Of note, the Parish Hall finishes replicated the same décor that existed prior to the flood. Ceramic floor, vinyl wall covering as a wainscot, and paint for the wall and soffit and ceiling trouffers were selected for the finishes. The kitchen walls were completely covered with a glazed tile. Select oak wood trim was installed.
