The Football Field and Outfield of the existing Baseball Field at the Dallas Area High School had not received significant improvement or renovation since its' original construction. The School District undertook renovations which involved the replacement of the natural grass with synthetic turf. The improvements to the approximately 6.2 acres increase and enhance the playing opportunities for both fields. read more

Renovations included replacing the existing cinder track with a new 6-lane oval with an 8-lane straight synthetic (EDPM/urethane) equal quadrant running track and removal of the existing natural grass (native soil) athletic field and replacing with a sand grid type natural grass athletic field complete with perforated PVC underdrainage system.

Other improvements included construction of a new ticket booth entry area, including turnstiles, replacement of the stadium perimeter chain link fencing, restoration of the existing paved access drive, construction of a new access drive, provision of ADA accessible parking near the grandstands, extension of water service to the field for irrigation, new track and field venues (high jump, pole vault, long/triple jump, shot, and discus), installation of a perimeter service drive/walkway around the new track, replacement of the home and visitor grandstands, and storm drainage improvements.
