Soil Remediation, Gateway Corners Property

Kinship Square, the non-profit owner of the property, commissioned Quad3 to coordinate a remediation plan acceptable to PA DEP.  Since the area of contamination has been developed into a playground, removing the soil was required.  Quad3 performed soil sampling and testing to identify the locations when contamination exceeded SHS.  Six (6) areas had soil removed to a depth of three (3) feet below ground surface and transported off site to a licensed facility.  In all, over 36 tons of soil was removed and new, clean soil placed in the playground.

Quad3 sought additional funding for our client to obtain a PA DEP release for soils under the Act 2 closure program.
