Aboveground Storage Tank

Removal and Replacement of Fueling Station

Wyoming Valley Airport, Forty Fort, PA

The project consisted of two phases: Phase I) selection and design of the most economical and practical aviation gasoline storage and distribution system; and Phase II) removal of 3 regulated underground storage tanks (UST).
Phase I included cost analysis, regulatory requirements and the facilities future needs. Following the evaluation, the aboveground storage tank system was chosen.
Phase II included preparation of plans and specifications for the removal of 3 underground storage tanks and associated piping systems. Quad3 monitored the soil from each UST excavation in order to segregate soil into contaminated and uncontaminated soil piles.
