Environmental Site Assessment

In order to re-use this site, Quad3 group was retained to evaluated the external property, assess 300,000 SF of internal building space and then demolished and regarded the site.
This industrial facility was constructed in the late 1950’s and was formerly operated as a pencil and eraser manufacturer. In 1998 it was acquired by a swimming pool manufacturer who utilized the site for the storage and assembly of both aboveground and underground swimming pools, whirlpool spas, patio furniture and pool decks.
Initial Phase required a remedial plan and a Phase II Environmental Assessment; Groundwater Monitoring of Wells; Stream Evaluation; Underground Storage Tanks Investigation; Aboveground Storage Tanks and Industrial Waste Water System.
The 2nd phase required interior assessment of the facility. Work plans were development and submitted to the Industrial Site Reuse Program for funding. Quad3 completed all work and obtained another grant for the owner to address the environmental concerns identified in the assessment. As part of the second phase of work performed at the facility, a total of 1900 cubic yards of contaminated soil was generated during the 1st phase. The soil was generated from two different locations on site and placed inside the on-site facility for treatment. The third phase required demolition of the facility and re-grading of the Property
