The site for this project consisted of several Dallas School District buildings including the high school, middle school and elementary school in Dallas Township, Luzerne County, PA. The Gerald J. Wycallis Elementary School project consisted of constructing a new 61,000 SF building and integrating it into the school district’s main campus. Wycallis Elementary School

The new one-story masonry and steel structure was designed to accommodate 500 students (K thru 5th grade). Educational spaces include 18 regular classrooms, special education rooms and a library.  Specialized suites include computer, art, music and gifted resource.  The physical education area includes locker rooms and an 8,000 SF gymnasium with bleacher seating for 500 occupants.  The school also includes a cafeteria with a warming kitchen.  The school administration suite is located in a separate wing of the building and includes offices for clerical, principal, guidance, and nursing staff.  The roof is both adhered membrane and standing seam metal roofing.The site development included relocation of two existing athletic fields, automobile and bus drop off loops, parking, and a detailed playground area.
